We are NHS Greater Huddersfield Clinical Commissioning Group (GHCCG): a partnership organisation of 41 GP practices, representing a population of approximately 241,000 patients in Huddersfield and the Valleys. Our Clinical Leader is Dr Steve Ollerton, a practising GP based in Skelmanthorpe.
We became a statutory organisation on 1 April 2013. We have delegated powers to commission and improve services within Kirklees and we have a clear commitment to doing so.
Still not sure what a CCG is?
The King's Fund has created a unique animation which gives a whistle-stop tour of where the NHS is now – how the new organisations work and fit together – and explains that our new system is as much a product of politics and circumstance as design.
