Dr Steve Ollerton (Chair)
GP Practice Representative and Clinical Leader
Steve was born in Southport on Merseyside, he is a GP Principal at Skelmanthorpe Family Doctors and has worked as a GP for 15 years. Steve studied at Leeds University, graduated in 1998, and became part of the West Pennine GP training scheme which involved working in hospitals in Calderdale and Kirklees and in GP practices.
Steve chairs the CCG and leads on finance and performance, partnership working, communication and patient and public involvement. He also sits on the council of the Yorkshire and Humber Clinical Senate and is a member of the NHS Clinical Commissioners (NHSCC) board, representing the Yorkshire and Humber constituency.
His main areas of interest as a GP are diabetes, minor surgery and commissioning. He is a member of the finance and performance committee and joint commissioning committee.
